The Hamilton City Council is asking the public for feedback on how elected members can best represent the city (file photo).
Hamiltonians are being asked to give feedback on how city councillors can best represent the city.
The shot survey will help inform the Hamilton City Council's 2018 representation review.
Every council is required to review its representation arrangements at least every six years.
The survey will ask people's views on whether Hamilton should have community boards, how many councillors there should be, and whether the city should retain two wards.
Decisions which come out of the 2018 representation review will apply to the 2019 and 2022 elections.
Public feedback from the survey will be considered by the council in August along with other research and information.
The public will be invited to make submissions on the council's initial proposal from August 22 to September 21.
