Crew removes trees from Willoughby’s Chagrin River

Crews from Pro Tree Service of Kirtland use a crane on June 12 to remove sections of trees that had been damming the Chagrin River in Willoughby. Pro Tree Service set up its crane in the eastbound lane of the Airborne Memorial Bridge on Mentor Avenue, while other crew members cut up trees in the river bed and attached them to the crane’s cable. Crews from Pro Tree Service of Kirtland on June 12 cut up trees that had been damming the Chagrin River in Willoughby. The men were working in a section of the river below the Airborne Memorial Bridge on Mentor Avenue. In the eastbound lane of the bridge above, other Pro Tree Service crew members used a crane with a cable to hoist the trees out of the river for removal The company was performing the project for the city of Willoughby.
