Donald Trump's top economic advisor Larry Ludlow suffered a heart attack on Tuesday (June 12).
That's according to a tweet from Trump, just moments before the historic Singapore summit with Kim Jong Un. Trump added the 70-year-old Kudlow is recovering in the Walter Reed Medical Center Kudlow's wife telling the Washington Post, her husband is doing "fine".
It's been a stressful few days for the former TV commentator.
He joined Trump at the G7 summit in Quebec over the weekend, which saw the president trading barbs with some of Washington's closest allies over trade.
Afterward Kudlow did several media interviews defending Trump against Canadian leader Justin Trudeau, accusing him of "betraying" the U.S. president. "Trudeau should have known better," he said.
Kudlow, who replaced Gary Cohn in March, has acknowledged a life of ups and downs.
