CHENNAI : My India Golden India,’ an All India Exhibition Bus Campaign by Brahma Kumaris, and Youth Wing of RERF (Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation), which began its journey in the city on June 7 at Sriperumbudur concluded its Tamil Nadu phase on Saturday. “The rally which began in 2017 at Ahmedabad has covered states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala and now Tamil Nadu. The campaign bus and the yatris will head to Andhra Pradesh next,” said BK Ranjani, TN Zonal coordinator, Youth Wing-Brahma Kumaris. “RERF has 21 wings and the Youth Wing has been actively working for youth development since its inception in 1985,” she said.

The main aim of the project is to promote the youth as agents of change through positivity. “About 50 per cent of the Indian population is below 25 years and 65 per cent of the population is below 35 years. There’s a good opportunity for the youth to make a difference in nation building, championing the objective of cleanliness and to inspire others by inculcating spiritual values,” she explained.

The specially designed exhibition bus showcased themes like Swachch Bharat, character building, yoga and meditation, spiritual values, and positivity through multimedia presentations, talks and street plays. “In the last three days, about 141 programmes were conducted in 24 places in and around Chennai by our yatris. They want to teach others to be self-sufficient and to lead a positive lifestyle,” she said.

The exhibition bus has covered 25 districts in Tamil Nadu and has benefited over four lakh people in the last three days. “Youth with a vision, determination, and creativity can bring transformation in self and society. But first, to have a peaceful and happy nation, change has to start from within,” she added. The national bus exhibition campaign will conclude in 2020.
