President Donald Trump reached the venue of their historic summit in Singapore on Tuesday (June 12), after both sides sought to narrow differences over how to end a nuclear stand-off.

Kim arrived after Trump at the Capella Hotel on Sentosa, a resort island off Singapore's port with luxury hotels, a Universal Studios theme park and man-made beaches.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo injected a note of caution, saying it remained to be seen if Kim was sincere about his willingness to denuclearize.

The summit was due to begin at 9 a.m. (0100 GMT).
