AAP leader Satyendar Jain began an indefinite fast on Tuesday. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and three members of his AAP Cabinet including Mr. Jain spent the night at a waiting room at Raj Niwas, Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal's residence.
Mr. Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Ministers Gopal Rai and Satyendar Jain at Raj Niwas since 6 p.m. on Monday. They are demanding that the L-G end what they call an illegal strike by officers and approve the government's proposal for home delivery of rations.

The officers have restricted themselves to written communication with the political executive since the alleged attack on the Chief Secretary by AAP MLAs at the Chief Minister's residence in February. The L-G had denied that the officers are on strike, in a statement on Monday. Raj Niwas had also stated the file pertaining to the delivery of rations is pending with the Food and Civil Supplies Minister, not the L-G.
With their protest entering the second day, Mr. Kejriwal said in a tweet on Tuesday morning that the struggle was on.
Mr. Sisodia tweeted: "Good Morning @LtGovDelhi Sir! Delhi CM and 3 ministers are still waiting in your waiting room since yesterday evening.
We hope today you'll get time from your busy schedule to resolve these three issues . Till then we are waiting...."
