Bishop Stang girls ousted from tennis tourney

Ninth-seeded Ursuline Academy swept sixth-seeded Bishop Stang 5-0 in the Division 3 South Sectional girls' tennis semifinals Monday afternoon.

At first doubles, Emily Pajak/ Kassandra Stone lost 6-4, 4-6, 7-10 (third set super tiebreaker), while Amanda Vasconcelos, at second singles, fell 3-6, 6-3, 3-6 to Alissa Cahoon.

Bishop Stang's No. 1 singles player Sailor Nordstrom fell to Margaret Dailey 6-1, 6-1.

Bishop Stang ended its season at 14-7.
