CHENNAI: In a little reprieve to former Union minister P Chidambaram’s immediate family members who are facing cases under the
Black Money Act, the
Madras high court on Tuesday directed the I-T department to provide a copy of the sanction order for prosecution and the complaint copy filed before the special court to them.
The first bench of Chief Justices Indira Banerjee and Justice P T Asha granted the interim relief, since the I-T refused to provide the copies without a court order.
On May 11, the I-T filed a complaint against
Chidambaram’s wife Nalini, son Karti and daughter-in-law Srinidhi for alleged non-disclosure of overseas assets.
