To mark the 71st birthday of RJD chief Lalu Prasad, his both sons Tej Pratap and Tejashwi Prasad Yadav held a closed door event at 5, Circular Road, the official residence of the former Deputy CM, and cut a 71 pounds cake. They were in jovial mood.

Later on the two brothers shared front seats of the SUV with elder brother on the steering. “He is Arjun and I am his Sarthi,” declared a beaming Tej Pratap as he asked the driver to move, brought younger brother on the front from the rear seat, put a green cap on his head and drove towards 10, Circular Road, the official residence of their mother Rabri Devi where their father lives.

“Tej Pratap is not only my elder brother he is also my philosopher and guide,” declared Tejashwi, wearing a broad smile with his arm around Tej’s shoulders.

“The canard of rift in the family and party is being spread by Nagpurias. They want differences between the brothers but they will never succeed in their nefarious designs,” said Tej Pratap accusing Sangh Parivar of trying to create rift in the family and RJD.

He went on to claim that certain BJP leaders were in the touch of RJD leadership.

Tej who had bitterly criticised State RJD chief Ram Chandra Purbe only a day earlier before the cameras said on Monday that Purbe ji was his uncle.

After cutting a slice of the cake he gave the first bite to Purbe and then to Tejashwi. His mother Rabri clapped approvingly as sounds of happy birthday and greetings rented the venue. “There is no khat-pat either in the family or in the party,” said Rabri.
