Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Hyderabad city president A. Vinay Kumar and team of other office-bearers presented a memorandum to JNTU Hyderabad Registrar N. Yadaiah seeking action against colleges that were collecting donations in engineering colleges against all norms.

Mr. Vinay said engineering colleges were violating all norms in filling of the management quota and NRI quota and there was a need for inquiry by the vigilance officials.

He said this was more prevalent in the colleges owned by the ruling party MPs, MLAs and MLCs and the officials were afraid to inquire into admissions in those colleges despite complaints.

He said a representation was also given to the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) but no action was initiated against or an inquiry was launched. He alleged that even officials were in collusion with the college managements.
