OPP in Leamington used a taser on a 19-year-old Leamington man after they say he was combative.
Police responded to a call about a disturbance in a parkling lot on Erie Street South. They say a man was yelling and shouting profanities at a nearby group of people.
Police said they attempted to speak to the person and deescalate the situation, but he became combative. Police then used a conducted energy weapon, also known as a taser, on the man who was then taken into custody.
Three officers were injured in the incident, and one had to be treated at a hospital.
The 19-year-old man is charged with causing a disturbance, assaulting police and resisting arrest. He was released on bail and will appear in court later this month.
An 18-year-old Windsor woman was also arrested and released. She was charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, and obstructing police.
