Evans manned right field for Boston from 1972-1990 and was second in home runs in the American League through the 1980s. Only Carl Yastrzemski played more games for the Red Sox.

“We hope that fans enjoy an intimate, elegant evening with Dwight Evans that directly funds our PawSox Scholars program of the PawSox Foundation,” said club president Dr. Charles A. Steinberg. “While enjoying a picturesque scene with a wonderful gentleman, we are helping to fund college scholarships of $10,000 each to middle schoolers from Pawtucket and Central Falls.”

Tickets for the event, titled, “Some Enchanted Evening: A Night Under the Stars with the Stars,” are on sale now via pawsox.com for $50 per adult and $20 for fans 16 and under.

Photographs and autographs are permitted, and fans are encouraged to bring their gloves. Several current PawSox players are also expected to attend.
