The hugely popular online game Fortnite is now available for the Nintendo Switch, the Japanese company has announced at gaming show E3.

Nintendo said the battle royale shooter, published by Epic Games, could be downloaded from 5:30pm on Tuesday.  

Fortnite has had millions tuning in to watch and play the game online since it launched in September last year. It recorded revenues of around $296m (£223m) in April alone according to analysts SuperData.

The free-to-play game has quickly become one of the biggest gaming titles of all time, despite parental fears that children may be becoming hooked on the game.
