3 arrested in minor rape case

A 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped by three youths at Birsanagar after her abduction from New Baridih under Sidhgora police station on Saturday night.

She was subjected to medical examination at the MGM Medical College Hospital on Monday.

The police have also sent the three youths, identified as Rahul Kumar Shukla (22), Tikky Sona (23) and Ajay Singh Bhumij (25), to Ghaghidih Central Jail after their production before a judicial magistrate.

OC, Sidhgora police station, Ashok Kumar said the victim has already been subjected to the medical examination for confirmation of the rape, but they are yet to get the medical report.

"The three youths who are alleged to have raped the minor have claimed that they are innocent.

However, medical examination report will reveal the trust. But, as the allegation was made by a minor we have arrested the three and sent them to jail," said Kumar.  He said the medical examination report will come in the next two days.

The girl who is a resident of New Baridih said that she and one of her friend of her age had been to a park located near her house on Saturday evening.

“The girl is in state of shock. She told us that at the park, Rajiv who was known to her met her and asked to accompany her to a place.  Rajiv took her on foot to a friend's house in adjoining Birsanagar where he and the girl attended a birthday party.  Subsequently, the youth took the minor to an abandoned house where he allegedly raped her," said the OC.

After coming heinous crime, Rajiv asked two of his friend who were on a scooter to drop the girl at her house.  But the duo, Sona and Bhumij, took the girl to a field where they raped her one after another and fled.

The girl had somehow managed to return home around midnight and told everything about the ordeal she faced to her parents.
