Brookfield road cleanup to begin

BROOKFIELD — Crews will begin clearing town roads Tuesday after voters last week approved almost $1.2 million for storm recovery efforts.
The contracted crews from CERES Inc. will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday through Friday to remove debris from last month’s storm from town right-of-ways. This means the town brush yard will be closed to residents during this work period.
The yard will remain open to residents from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
“We are sorry for this temporary inconvenience, but it is necessary due to the dangerous nature of the work that is being performed,” the town said on its Brookfield Matters Facebook page.
Work is expected to take about four weeks.
