A 24-year-old man was arrested today for allegedly killing his wife and then filing a missing complaint to cover up his act, police said.
The accused, Mukesh Gujjar, killed his wife Savitri on May 8 owing to some domestic disputes and dumped the body in a well.
He then lodged a missing complaint with the police, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Vikash Pathak said.
He said that the family members of the woman lodged a case of dowry torture and murder.
During interrogation, Gujjar confessed to killing his wife. He was subsequently arrested, the police officer said.
