IVANKA TRUMP, 36, has mocked today after she posted a message to her Instagram account. The daughter of President Donald Trump, 72, posted a “Chinese proverb”.
Ivanka Trump, an advisor to the President of the United States and his daughter, has been ruthlessly mocked on Twitter over the past day.
The former-model and fashion entrepreneur posted a poignant message to her social media account.
The mother-of-three wrote: “Those who say it can not be done, should not interrupt those doing it.” - Chinese Proverb”
Evidently proud of the tweet, Ivanka has pinned it to the top of her Twitter page.
Ivanka describes herself on the platform as a: “Wife, mother, sister, daughter.”

Her bio on the site also reads: “Advisor to POTUS on job creation + economic empowerment, workforce development & entrepreneurship.”
However, Twitter users a dubious as to whether the saying is a Chinese proverb at all.
The Independent reported that no experts could verify the authenticity of the proverb.
Moss Roberts, professor of East Asian studies at New York University said: “Nothing immediately comes to mind.”
Chen Gao, senior Chinese language lecturer at New York University also told the paper: “Many Chinese started joking about their own Chinese language skills, because they can't think of any old sayings with the English equivalents.”

Many Twitter uses replied to Ivanka’s tweet.
One wrote: “‘Feckless people should look up stuff before they post it.’ — Chinese Proverb”
One added: “‘Don't believe everything you read on the internet’ - Abraham Lincoln.”
Another said: “One man tells a lie, dozens repeat it as the truth. Chinese Proverb”
One more said: “It’s not a Chinese proverb. It was Bernard Shaw’s words and the original is ‘People who say it cannot be done, should not interrupt those who are doing it.’”

However, some were in support of the political advisor and one wrote: “Thank you, Ivanka, for all that you do to make life better for everyone.”
Ivanka Trump recently posted a touching tribute to Kate Spade offering advice to depression sufferers.
Kate, who was married to Andy Spade, left behind a 13-year-old daughter.
The post showed an screenshot of a quote saying: “She leaves a little bit of sparkle wherever she goes - Kate Spade.”
The late fashion designer racked up a huge following of royal and celebrity fans, including Ivanka and Kate Middleton, since the creation of her eponymous brand back in 1993.
