Sears shares up 8% after it expands Amazon partnership to 118 Auto Centers

Sears Holdings Corp. shares rose 8.1% on Tuesday after the retailer said it had expanded its partnership between its Sears Auto Centers and Amazon.com Inc. to 118 locations. Sears announced last month that it started allowing customers to ship tires to 47 Sears Auto Center locations to have them installed. Now the tire service has been added to 71 stores. DieHard brand all-season tires are available on Amazon. Sears shares are down more than 63% for the past year while Amazon shares have rallied 76% for the period. The S&P 500 index is up 14.8% for the last 12 months.
