Clair C. Caldwell Sr., 83,
of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, June 9, 2018, in
St. Luke's Hospital under hospice Care. A Celebration
of Life will be held at a later date. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park

of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Dorothy; his children, Reana (Ted) Heck of Robins, Carrel Neilson of Kentucky, and Bobby Caldwell, Rebecca Caldwell, Patricia (Robby) Blackwell and Chris (Christy) Caldwell, all of Cedar Rapids; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Clair Caldwell Jr.; and a granddaughter, Angel Marie Blackwell.
Clair was born May 30, 1935, in Mitchell, S.D., the son of Earl and Irene (Westfall) Caldwell. He married Dorothy Abben on Jan. 18, 1958, in Palmyra, Mo. Clair was a carpenter for Carpenters Local 308 for 40 years. He enjoyed woodworking and cutting and polishing rock.
