A 40-year-old man allegedly threw acid on his wife and two daughters, and then drank it to kill himself in north-east Delhi’s Karawal Nagar, the police said on Sunday.
The police received a call regarding the incident at 3.15 p.m. on June 9. A team rushed to the spot and found Yashpal’s body. His wife and two daughters were lying injured on the floor, the police said.
The injured persons were taken to a hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
Regular fights
The woman has suffered about 40% burns while the daughters got partially burnt and are out of danger, the police said. The couple fought frequently but the quarrel turned ugly on June 9, following which Yashpal got acid. He attacked his family before drinking it. A case has been registered at Karawal Nagar police station, they said.
