The result of the Class 10 examinations conducted by Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) will be announced on June 12 at 9.30am, TBSE president Mihir Kanti Deb announced on Monday.

Students can check their result on the Tripura Board’s official website here. They can also get their result via SMS by typing TBSE 10 <Space> Roll Number and send it to 56070 or 54242.

Nearly 49,000 candidates took the TBSE 10th examination that began from March 6 to April 10. The pass percentage of class 10, also known as Madhyamik, was 67.38 in 2017.

This year, the board had to reschedule the dates for three Class 12 papers to avoid a clash with electoral process for the assembly polls. The English exam, to be conducted on March 5, was rescheduled to March 8.

Similarly, the language papers of Bengali, Hindi and Mizo of Class 10 were also conducted on a later date as the swearing-in ceremony of the new government was announced in the middle of the exams.

The Class 10 board exams passed off peacefully except for the confusion regarding the use of calculators. According to the Class 10 admit card, scientific calculators were not allowed inside exam centres, the implication being that regular calculators could be used. However, an instruction in the mathematics question paper prohibited the use of any kind of calculator.

“The guideline was perhaps overlooked while setting the question paper. We have decided to put a ban on calculators in exam halls like CBSE. After results declaration, we will sit for a discussion on it,” board president Deb said.

The Higher Secondary results were declared earlier with record of 78.62% pass.
