Flowers season 2: Olivia Colman co-star SCOLDED after confessing to backstage chaos

FLOWERS returns to screens this evening with the first two episodes of season two, and will see the beginning of Amy Flowers’ manic episodes - but what is the truth behind the show's medieval scenes?

The beginning of tonight’s new season of Flowers will see Maurice Flowers (played by Julian Barratt) on the road to recovery after his depression got out of control.

His wife Deborah Flowers (Olivia Colman) continues to struggle living with Maurice as he suffers through his mental illness.

But while the couple are worrying about themselves, their daughter takes a turn for the worse.

Amy (Sophia Di Martino) has begun having manic episodes based around the history of her family.

She quickly becomes obsessed over a book which depicts the Flowers family from centuries ago who were riddled with an inordinate amount of bad luck.

While one member of the family was killed in a fire, another was murdered the entire family after they had a mental break.

The scenes show the family dressed in medieval costumes, and running around an old manor house depicting history.

Speaking to press including Express.co.uk at a Q&A, Amy actress Sophia revealed the truth behind filming the scenes.

“It was just mental wasn’t it?” she said.

“It was kind of like chaos, it felt like chaos.
