Haryana Min appeals to people to conserve water

Haryana Minister of State for Public Health and Engineering, Banwari Lal on Sunday appealed the residents of the state to conserve water as water level in different areas of the state has been declining rapidly, which is a matter of concern.

He told the people to not to waste the water especially in summers  and use it wisely. The Minister insisted on changing the water habits as the water shortage creates problems for the people.

 He also told the people to put taps wherever water is freely flowing.

Similarly, he appealed the people to not to wash their vehicles using pipes instead should do that with damp cloth. In the same way, for  irrigation people should use the drip irrigation or fountain irrigation  techniques in order to irrigate the land to its maximum without wasting much water.

 The Minister said at the places in the state where there is shortage of tubewell water or river water, the water tankers would be provided. In addition 342 more tubewells would soon be setup in the various places throughout the state, he added.
