GURUGRAM: A delivery man working with an online shopping portal was robbed of Rs 20,000 on Sunday by two bike-borne assailants at gunpoint near Ullahwas village on SPR.
According to the police, Inderjeet was returning to his office in Sector 67 after delivering a consignment and had Rs 20,000 in cash with him.
As he parked his bike by the roadside near Ullahwas village and went to relieve himself, he saw two men riding a black-coloured motorcycle approaching him.
While one of the accused got down of the bike and approached him, the other was sitting on the bike. Inderjeet initially thought that they must have stopped to ask for some direction, but the accused pointed a country-made pistol at Inderjeet and snatched his cash bag.
Inderjeet tried to retaliate and snatched the pistol from the accused, but by then the accused on bike sped towards him, picked up the other accused and fled.
The victim then made a PCR call and when cops reached the spot handed over the weapon to them. To everyone’s surprise, there was no bullet in the pistol.
An FIR has been registered against the two under Section 379A (snatching) of the IPC and Section 25-54-59 of Arms Act at Badshapur police station and an investigation was launched to nab the duo.
