Lions Club Working Committee formed

Working Committee of Lions Club of Ranchi district was formed for the year 2018-19 on Sunday at Agrasen Bhavan which would come into force from July 1. Pramod Shrivastav has been elected as the President of Lions Club whereas Vikas Lohiya and Sanjeev Singh were elected as Secretary and Treasurer respectively. The chief guest of the meeting was Rajiv Singh. Also present was existing president Kamlesh Sancheti who gave opening address. Senior members of the club like Pankaj Midha, Pawan Bajaj, Deekap Rungta and others were present in the meeting. The members also observed one minute silence for world peace.

Alok Dubey opposes HEC land transfer

Senior Congress leader and party spokesperson Alok Dubey has opposed the move of the HEC to transfer additional land with it to the Government for using the purpose other than it meant originally. In a statement the Congress leader said that the land was acquired for industrial purposes and if it a portion of it left unused it should be returned to the original raiyats as per the Land Acquisition Act.

Seminar on medical benefits by CCL

Central Coalfields Limited a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd, organized a seminar on ‘benefits of medical services’ for the retired executives and non-executives at Vichar Manch, Dharbanga House, Ranchi. About 250 retired personnel including former directors of different subsidiaries of Coal India attended a mega function under the banner ‘Contributory Post Retirement Medicare Schemes’. Retired employees came from Jamshedpur, Koderma, Hazaribag and other districts including Ranchi. On this occasion Director, R S Mahapatro, CMPF Regional Commissioner, T R Nair, Former Director B P Singh, CMS (CCL) Dr R R Sinha and other dignitaries were present to grace the occasion.
