Three tourists from Maharashtra drown in Goa

PANAJI: PANAJI: Three tourists, including a student and a police constable from Akola, Maharashtra, drowned off Calangute beach early Monday morning, two hours after they arrived in Goa. Two of their friends are still missing.
Calangute Police inspector Jivba Dalvi said the group of 14 tourists, all residents of Mothi Umbri, Vitthal Nagar, Akola entered the water, when a strong current pulled five of them deeper into the sea.

The bodies of the three deceased Pritesh Lankeshwae Nanda Gawali, a 32 year old police constable, Chetan Lankeshwae Nanda Gawali, a 27 year old student and Ujwal Prakash Vadoke a 25 year old mechanic were taken to primary health centre at Candolim.
