Rajkot: A gang of three robbers was busted and four robberies detected in Lathidar village of Botad taluka on Monday morning.
Police identified the accused as Vishu Jiliya alias Nanu, his brother Haresh Jiliya alias Bhuri, both residents of Lathidar village, and Ghanshyam Vaghela alias Angi, a resident of Jharia village of Sihor taluka in Bhavnagar district.

“During their interrogation, the accused said they had committed robbery at a petrol pump in Ningala village of Gadhada taluka in Botad district on the night of June 1,” said Botad local crime branch sub-inspector D V Dangar. “That apart they had robbed a temple priest after thrashing him in Keriya village of Botad taluka, 20 days ago. They had also robbed a woman of her gold chain in Khambhada village of Barwada taluka in Botad district, one and a half month ago.”

Dangar added, “At Rangpar village of Vallabhipur taluka in Bhavnagar district, they had robbed a person of his cash and cellphone, one month ago.”

“We have recovered one bike, three cellphones and Rs 3,860 cash from them,” he said.
