A record whirlwind century from Sophie Devine helped the White Ferns score another crushing ODI women's cricket win over Ireland.

Devine took 59 balls to record the fastest ODI ton by a New Zealand woman and the second-quickest in women's international history as her side beat the hosts by 306 runs in Dublin.

For the second match in the three-game series, New Zealand made over 400 batting first - 418 this time after making a world record 490 in game one. It was also their second triumph by more than 300 runs as Ireland were dismissed for 112.

After a slow start, Devine unwound and smashed six sixes and 13 fours as opener in her 108 off 61 deliveries. Her second half-century came up off just 24 balls.

"I was probably a little bit slow to start in the grand scheme of things," said Devine, who admitted she was "craving" for time in the middle after missing out in the previous match.

"You get in the zone - you don't reallly think about how many balls you've faced or runs you've scored."

Maddy Green added 50 and Anna Peterson 46 off 36 balls as New Zealand struck 50 fours in their tally. Ireland leg-spinner Cara Murray took the most punishment for the hosts' bowlers, with figures of 2-96 from eight overs.

In reply, Ireland were dismissed for 112 in 35.3 overs, with Holly Huddleston taking 2-13 off five overs, teenage leggie Amelia Kerr 2-18 off seven and Peterson 2-12 off four.

Devine described the win as "really pleasing - another complete performance by the girls".

"A fantastic effort to back up the world record we had in the last game - to score over 400 again is no mean feat."
