Bale prefers Premier League return if he leaves Real
Real Madrid star Gareth Bale will not make any decision on his future until the Spanish giants have appointed a new manager.
After leading Real to a third Champions League title in a row, Zinedine Zidane shocked the football world on 31 May by quitting the La Liga side. While no replacement has been named, the Daily Star reports that former player Guti and Chelsea boss Antonio Conte are the two favourites to take over from Zidane.
Bale scored twice in the Champions League final against Liverpool and has hinted at leaving Madrid, the Independent reports, but Zidane’s departure “could have changed things”.
Meanwhile the Daily Mail adds that if the Welsh forward does leave the European champions, the Premier League would be his likely destination. Bale has been linked with German side Bayern Munich but he will only consider a return to England’s top-flight.
Hazard waits on Chelsea decisions
Another club whose managerial situation will affect the future of their players is Chelsea. The Blues’ current boss Antonio Conte is reportedly set for the sack after failing to secure Champions League football next season. Conte’s uncertain future is also having an impact on where Eden Hazard will play next season. The Belgium captain said he “wants to know” what will happen at Chelsea before deciding his own future. My thoughts are 100% here.” (Sky Sports via AS)
