BENGALURU: Students who want to apply for seats in colleges for the upcoming academic year will have to get their documents verified at their respective helpline centres. An online document verification process has been in the pipeline for years, but could not be implemented this year as several documents were not digitised.

A student said they were forced to wait in queues for a long time at the helpline centres for verification of documents. He also asked why the process was not online even though the counselling process was.
The revised schedule for verification of documents has been published by KEA and will start from Tuesday at all centres. The verification process has been moved from June 7 to June 12 and will go on till June 26. “Eligible candidates have to attend the document verification as per the revised schedule with all the original documents,” a press release from the KEA stated.

Registration for NEET counselling soon

Registration for the counselling process through scores in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will begin from next week. A senior official said KEA had not yet received the results from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The portal for registration will be opened after they receive the results.
