Who's the coach?

Tite (full name: Adenor Leonardo Bacchi). A bold, confident communicator revered in Brazil, he has brought back the swagger after the national horror of 7-1.

Who's the star?

Unquestionably Neymar, who has the charisma and skills to become an international great, which he already thinks he is.

Best thing about them

An attack of Neymar, Philippe Coutinho and Gabriel Jesus is as exciting as you could ask for. This feels like a proper Brazil side again.

Worst thing about them

Flamboyant full-back Marcelo is a joy going forward but is not alone in regarding defensive positioning as being beneath him.

You may recognise…

Tite has said that Roberto Firmino of Liverpool is expected to press Jesus hard for a place in the side. Spurs old boy Paulinho does the donkey work in midfield.

Cameramen will be picking out…

Impossibly good-looking girls in Brazil shirts have become a World Cup TV staple. Also: sad David Luiz, who didn’t make the squad.

Fans' favourite chant

"Eu sou brasileiro, com muito orgulho, com muito amor."

Translation: “I'm Brazilian, with a lot of pride, with a lot of love”

On-field prediction

If they top their group, can avoid Germany and take revenge for 2014 on them in the final.

Off-field prediction

Lots of crying, hopefully this time it will be tears of joy.
