Yogi Government is working for the uplift of dalits : Dr Dinesh Sharma

Deputy Chief Minister Dr Dinesh Sharma said that the Yogi Government in Uttar Pradesh is working for the uplift of dalits because they have been ignored by the previous regime and have been denied the benefits of government schemes.

He was addressing meetings of the Akhil Bharatiya Baanskar Mahasabha and Akhil Bharatiya Dharkar samaj which was organized at Ambedkar Mahasabh grounds here on Sunday.

“The country can progress only if all sections of the society are marching ahead. The progress will dis-jointed if one section is marching ahead while the other is standing stagnant.  Our government realizes this fact and therefore is working for the uplift of all sections of the society including dalits,” Dr Sharma said.

He said it is for the first time that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had organised a summit of dalit entrepreneurs.  In UP Yogi Government has appointed Dr Lalji Prasad Nirmal, who belongs to the Baanskar samaj, as the Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh SC/ST Development Corporation. 

“The government works on the principal of sabka saath sabka vikas to ensure that benefits of government schemes reach all quartyers,” deputy Chief Minister said and appealed to the people to support Prime Minister Modi in his endeavor to bring social equality.

Governor Ram Naik also spoke on this occasion.

Dr Lali Prasad said that on the name of dalit appeasement  they (dalits) are being used by different parties as vote bank. Caste divide is widened so that some political parties are use dalits against others. This was the attack on the ideology propagated by Dr Ambedkar.  “This should end and dalits should be treated as normal man,” he said.

Social welfare minister Ramapati Shastri also spoke in this meeting.
