NOIDA: The developer of a group housing society has been booked for allegedly taking Rs 51 lakh from a homebuyer but not delivering the flat on time. The complainant, Geeta Sinha (69), a resident of Patna, told police she had booked two flats in a society developed by MSA Developers Pvt Ltd in Greater Noida in June 2015.
“The developer had said the flats would be delivered in six months,” she said. “The company abandoned the project and they are not ready to inform us about their intentions. We invested Rs 51 lakh and the rest payment was agreed to be paid at the time of possession,” she added.
Sinha said the developer had offered her flats in another project, which she did not accept, instead of returning the amount. MSA Developers Pvt Ltd could not be reached for a comment.
In her complaint, Sinha has named the company directors Madhav Saran Agarwal, Alka Agarwal and Garima Gupta. Manish Saxena, SHO, Sector 20 police station, said a case of cheating and forgery has been registered against the developers.
