NEW PHILADELPHIA A 34-year-old dentist pleaded guilty Monday to charges of corrupting another with drugs and gross sexual imposition in connection with an incident in which he drugged a woman before having sexual contact with her.

Tuscarawas County Common Pleas Judge Elizabeth Lehigh Thomakos scheduled Victor H. Nguyen to be sentenced July 31 after finding him guilty.

He is to be evaluated by a counseling program for men, Melymbrosia Associates of Canton, before sentencing.

Regardless of his sentence, Nguyen is to be classified as a Tier 1 sex offender, required to report annually for 15 years to the sheriff's department of any county in which he lives, works or attends school.

Nguyen formerly lived in the northwest section of New Philadelphia, but now has a Dover address.

The crime occurred in New Philadelphia.
