The two sides also unveiled their first co-branded airplane at the Hongqiao International Airport on Wednesday as part of the partnership.

The first Spring Airlines plane with the new livery will fly on all its routes, with a special focus on Japan and Thailand – the two most popular overseas destinations for Chinese visitors, the carrier announced.

Around 130 million Chinese people traveled overseas in 2017, making the Chinese the most enthusiastic travelers in the world, according to the National Tourism Administration. Out of the total, more than 7 million Chinese tourists visited Japan and 9.78 million visited Thailand last year.

The newly unveiled Airbus 320 has a blue exterior design with the brand logo of Booking.com, while the interior is decorated with screenshots of the Booking.com app and guest reviews. A discount code will be available on the backs of seats, allowing passengers to enjoy a voucher for Booking.com.
