U.S. stocks opened slightly higher on Monday as investors looked ahead to a meeting between President Donald Trump and North Korea leader Kim Jong Un on Tuesday and central bank policy meetings later this week, including the conclusion of a Federal Reserve meeting Wednesday that's expected to deliver a quarter-point rate increase. Investors appeared to largely look past a heightening of trade tensions after Trump lashed out at Canada and other allies at a weekend summit meeting of leaders of the Group of Seven nations. The S&P 500 rose 0.1% to 2,783, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.1% to 7,655. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 32 points, or 0.1%, to 25,348.
