Looking for the ultimate racing simulator? Forza Motorsport is one of the best out there. But if you want to venture off the virtual race track and into a less constricted digital environment, Forza Horizon has got you covered. And this is our first look at the latest.

Following the debut of the first Forza Horizon in 2012, the second in 2014, and the third in 2016, Turn 10 Studios has announced the next chapter will hit shelves (physical or otherwise) on October 2. But before it does, it’s released these first details, screen shots, and video footage ahead of its announcement at E3 in Los Angeles.

Like the previous iterations, Forza Horizon 4 goes off the track into a virtually limitless environment – this time based in the UK. And what’s more is that the environment changes continuously with the weather, seasons, even time of day. So that route you drove yesterday may not be exactly the same the next time you venture out onto it – just like in the real world the game seeks to emulate.

Based as it is in Great Britain, British cars feature front and center – chief among them the McLaren Senna, which will grace the box cover (along with a 1997 Land Rover Defender 90). In fact the Senna will mark its first appearance in the US at Forza’s booth at E3 on Tuesday. And a fitting centerpiece it is. But it won’t be the only vehicle to feature in the game, of course. The developers promise over 450 cars digitally replicated from 100 different manufacturers, and you can see some of them in the launch trailer and images below.
