Trinamool trying to wipe out opposition from WB: BJP

BJP today accused the ruling (TMC) of trying to wipe out every sign of opposition from the state.

"The TMC is trying to wipe out every sign of opposition from That is why our workers are being killed everyday. But we will continue our democratic fight till we end the misrule of the TMC government," Ghosh said after meeting family members of two partymen who were allegedly killed.

Two BJP activists - 35-year-old and 20-year-old - were found hanging in Balarampur area of the district on June 2 and May 31 respectively, a few days after the panchayat polls.

"I met the family members and assured them that the party is with them. It is very unfortunate that they were killed just because they were BJP activists," Ghosh said.

The BJP is planning to organize a nation-wide agitation against the alleged killing of the two party workers in Balarampur where the BJP had performed well in the panchayat elections.

BJP would pay a two-day visit to the state and he would go to Balarampur, the party's state general secretary said.

Shah had condemned the 'killings' of Mahato and Kumar in tweeter messages earlier.

The BJP had alleged the deaths were "political murders" committed by the TMC and demanded a CBI inquiry into the incidents. The TMC has denied the charge.
