Fitbit stock rises after company says Ace wristband now available globally

Shares of Fitbit Inc. are up 4.9% in Monday morning trading after the company said that its previously announced wearable for kids, called the Fitbit Ace, would be available globally. The wristband sells for $99.95 and is available in two colors. It's aimed at children aged 8 and up. If the gains hold, Fitbit shares will have risen in seven out of the last eight days. The stock is up 23% so far in June, compared with a 2.8% rise for the S&P 500 in part because the company reported strong initial sales for its new Fitbit Versa smartwatch.
