NIA ex-chief appointed Vigilance Commissioner

Former (NIA) has been appointed a Commissioner in the Central Commission, an official statement said on Sunday.

An 1979 batch (IPS) officer of the cadre, he has been appointed for a term of four years from the date on which he assumes his new role, or till he attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.

was appointed NIA in 2013 and headed the anti-terror organisation till September 2017.
