Redmond O’Neal, 33, whose half-sister Tatum, 54, is the youngest Oscar winner in history, also faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon and of armed robbery and making criminal threats.
Los Angeles police said he was arrested last month after a six-day spree during which he “attacked five men in unprovoked confrontations” and robbed a 7-Eleven store.
I’ve lost all hope. I don’t want to go to rehab and I don’t do well in prison. I don’t care anymore
Two of his alleged victims were stabbed separately.
He is on remand in LA County Jail. O’Neal, who has “**** Life” tattooed on his left hand and has struggled with heroin since his teens, is undergoing mental evaluation in the jail.
In a prison phone interview he declared: “I’ve lost all hope. I don’t want to go to rehab and I don’t do well in prison. I don’t care anymore.”
Although he allegedly stole a mere £45, O’Neal said he still has a “big chunk” of the £3.4million inherited from his Charlie’s Angels star mother, who died of cancer in 2009.
