CM Yogi Adityanath performs Panchkroshi Yatra and ‘sankalp’ ritual

VARANASI: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath Yogis started his Panchkroshi Yatra from Manikarnika Ghat on Saturday evening. It continued till late night.
As per the tradition, Yogi initially reached Mani Kund at Manikarnika Ghat to perform ‘Sankalp’ rituals. The CM then proceeded to Kashi Vishwanath temple to offer prayers and returned to Manikarnika Ghat to board a boat for Assi Ghat from where his fleet reached Kandava by road. Yogi came out of his vehicle at Kandava turning and walked upto Karmadeshwar Mahadev temple, which is the first ‘padav’ (halt) of Panchkroshi Yatra. After offering prayers at Karmadeshwar Mahadev temple his fleet left for Bheemchandi, the next halt.The Panchkroshi pilgrimage had started on May 16 and will conclude on June 13.
