Bengaluru: Dacoits nabbed in BMTC murder case

BENGALURU: Electronics City police have arrested three inter-state dacoits in a three-month old murder case. The accused are Palabrahmaiah (60) and his sons Abhisekh (32) and Dhanraj (24), all natives of Mangalagiri in Andhra Pradesh. In February, the trio had barged into a BMTC bus and murdered one Suresh (45) near Konappana Agrahara after stabbing him multiple times. Police have recovered 50 mobile phones worth Rs 12 lakh from the accused.

Based on the complaint filed by Suresh’s son, police arrested the accused who admitted that old rivalry was the reason behind the murder. Police said Suresh was married to Palabrahmaiah’s sister-in-law. Suresh and the accused were allegedly involved in several incidents of dacoity, murders and burglary in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Bengaluru and Nelamangala in Karnataka.

Since there were differences between them over sharing the stolen money, Palabrahmaiah allegedly tipped off Tamil Nadu police about Suresh in a dacoity case. He was convicted for 14 years and was released in 2006. In order to take take revenge, Suresh allegedly tipped off Guntur police in Andhra about Palabrahamaiah in 2013 and he was arrested.
