PARK CITY, Utah (AP) — Mitt Romney was once the face of the "Never Trump" movement. Now the former Republican presidential nominee and would-be senator appears to be embracing Donald Trump's presidency as he re-enters national politics.

One prominent Trump supporter says the president has forgiven Romney. But here's how a Romney confidant puts it: "It's really complicated."

Romney is holding his annual political retreat in Utah this weekend and he's told high-profile supporters he thinks Trump will win a second term.

But Romney loyalists privately say Romney is deeply concerned about Trump's policies and his leadership style.

Romney's role in Trump's Republican Party has been in focus as he runs for the Senate in Utah. His approach as a candidate suggests there's little room for an outspoken Trump critic in today's GOP.
