JEE Advanced result 2018: Five students from Kota coaching institutes among top 10

Five students of Kota-based coaching institutes on Sunday claimed top positions in the All-India Ranking of JEE Advanced 2018, the examination held for admission to the 23 Indian Institutes of Technology across the country.

Sahil Jain and Meenal Parakh of Kota’s Vibrant Academy grabbed AIR Rank 2 and AIR 6 respectively in JEE Advanced 2018. Meenal was also the topper of among girls.

Jaipur’s Pawan Goyal got AIR 4 and was a student of Resonance Coaching Institute for the last two years.

Lay Jain and Neel Aryan of Allen Career Institute secured AIR 9 and AIR 10 in JEE Advanced 2018 respectively. Lay Jain belongs to Kota city and Neel Aryan is from Chandigarh.

Director of Allen Career Institute Naveen Maheshwari said Kota has always dominated in JEE Advanced results.

“Aspirants from Kota securing top ranks in JEE Advanced has once again proved mettle of Kota,” he said.

Nearly 1,50,000 students from across the country enrol in the 40-odd coaching institutes in Kota, which is known as India’s coaching capital, every year to prepare for the highly competitive entrance examinations for different professional courses.

Kota’s coaching business runs into hundreds of crores of rupees and the centres are known to produce all-India toppers in most of the competitive exams.
