Student dies after overspeeding Mercedes Benz rams divider in Hyderabad

A 22-year-old student died when his Mercedes Benz car crashed into a road divider and somersaulted thrice before coming to a halt near Mehfil hotel at Shaikpet in the early hours of Saturday.

HYDERABAD: A 22-year-old student died when his Mercedes Benz car crashed into a road divider and somersaulted thrice before coming to a halt near Mehfil hotel at Shaikpet in the early hours of Saturday.
According to police, K Rahul Reddy, a resident of  Subishi Windsor Villa at Shankerpally, studying in the US,  was on a vacation in Hyderabad.

Rahul along with his friend N Sai Charan, was  driving the luxury car at a high speed and rammed a divider at around 3.15 a.m. The speeding vehicle swung into air and fell around 50 metres away, only after rolling over three times. Rahul suffered a severe head injury as he was not wearing seat belt while Charan suffered minor injuries. 

The passersby alerted the police.  Rahul died on way to hospital and Charan is undergoing treatment.  Rahul was heading towards Lanco Hills to drop Charan at his house after a party at his friend’s place. It is suspected that Rahul, who was behind the wheel,was drunk. But we can confirm this after receiving the post mortem report, police said.
