CUTTACK: Sheer hard work along with guidance from teachers were the stepping stones of success for Arts topper. Abheepsa Mishra of Ravenshaw College secured 541 marks out total 600 registering 90.16 per cent.

Daughter of Satya Shiba Sundar Mishra, an LIC agent and Manasi Mishra, of Rajabagicha Labour Colony, she said “I don’t find the necessity for tuition and coaching classes though I had resorted to same.” She devoted 4 to 5 hours a day to study at home.

Her parents said, “We were expecting that our daughter will top in the college but are happy that she has become a topper in her stream.”

Crediting her success to college lecturers and parents, Abheepsa said “They had always inspired me to work hard.” Abheepsa wants to pursue a career in Economics and become a lecturer.

5 primitive tribe students of KISS bag 1st division

Bhubaneswar: Adding another feather to the academic cap, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) has posted an impressive performance by achieving 100 per cent results in Plus Two Arts and Commerce examinations conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE). Like previous years, girl students outperformed boys.

The highest marks secured by students in both Arts and Commerce streams is 80 per cent. All primitive tribe students have cleared the exams in both the streams. For the first time five primitive tribe students each from both Arts and Commerce have secured first division. Founder of KISS and KIIT Achyuta Samanta congratulated the successful students. Expressing happiness over the impressive pass record of the KISS students, he attributed the success to the hard work of students, proper guidance of faculty, staff and blessings of God.
