CHENNAI: Sale of applications for admissions into
MBBS and
BDS courses offered by government and self-financing medical colleges in
Tamil Nadu will begin on Monday (June 11).
Interested candidates can either download the application form from the official websites (tnmedicalselection.org or tnhealth.org) or buy them at counters opened in all the government medical colleges.
Sale of applications will end at 5pm on June 18.
Filled-in application forms should be submitted on or before June 19, according to an official release from the Directorate of Medical Examinations (
DME).
Applicants for government medical college seats should take a demand draft of Rs 500 in the name of The Secretary, Selection Committee, DME, Kilpauk and those aspiring to join private colleges should pay Rs 1,000 for the application.
It is free of cost for candidates belonging to SC/ST communities.
First phase of counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions into Tamil Nadu medical colleges, based on National Eligibility Test (
NEET) scores, will be held between July 1 and July 5.
Rank lists are most likely to be declared on June 28. The courses would begin on August 1 and admissions would close on August 18, the release added.
