Bank driver found hanging from high-tension wire on Vadodara’s outskirts

Vadodara: A 39-year-old man working as driver at Bank of Baroda’s Sayajigunj branch was found hanging to a pole of a high-tension power line in Amaliyara village near the city on Sunday.
Deceased Jatin Rawal, who was living with his mother at his maternal uncle’s house at Dandiya Bazaar, had left home without informing anyone around three days back. Around 7am on Sunday, residents of Amaliyara found him hanging on the outskirts of the village after which the sarpanch informed Vadodara taluka police station.

Police said that they contacted his family on the basis of identity cards found from Rawal’s pockets. A police official said that Rawal’s mother’s statement could not be taken since she was in shock. His cousins told the cops that Rawal was stubborn by nature, but on the day he left from home he was completely fine.

A case of accidental death was registered at Vadodara taluka police station.
