Andrew A. Mignanelli, 86, of Daugherty Twp., passed away at his home peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, June 7, 2018. Born August 26, 1931, in Rochester, a son of the late Phillip and Theresa Micco Mignanelli, he was a retired salesman with the former PBI Industries, North Rochester, and was formerly with the J. Allan Steel Co., Pittsburgh. He was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, New Brighton. He was a 1949 graduate of Rochester High School, a graduate of Geneva College, receiving a B.S. degree in Business, and in 1949 attended the Juillard School of Music. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of New Brighton American Legion Post 19; a financial secretary of the Rochester Sons of Italy, and was a former band leader with the Pastels of the Big Band Era. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Deloris J. (Means) Mignanelli; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra A. and Keith Barrow, New Brighton; Pamela M. and David Adiutori, Beaver Falls, and Lisa A. and Jeffrey Bolland, New Brighton; four grandchildren, Gretchen M. Clinger and her husband Arthur, North Sewickley Twp.; Bethany M. Parisi and her husband Joshua Parisi, Canonsburg, and Haley M. and Kyle J. Bolland, New Brighton; three great-grandchildren, Gabrielle M. and Aubrey M. Clinger, and Dominic Jackson Parisi; a sister, Helen Erzen, Oakmont, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Peruzzi, Jennie Pinchotti and Irma Celio. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 7 p.m. in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester, where a blessing service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Father Thomas Kredel will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Cecilia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes contributions be made to Vitas Hospice, 2009 MacKenzie Way, Cranberry, PA 16065. The family wishes to thank the special nurses of Vitas who gave wonderful care and comfort to Andy.
